We are looking for an Employability Coach to help enable people with a learning disability, secure a real job with an employer.

The Employability Coach role supports the person to find employment by providing specific job skills as they gain employability skills in a workplace. The coach provides further support to access long term employment either with the current employer or elsewhere.

The coach also provides support to the people we support, business colleagues, families, so as to ensure successful skill learning and assimilation into the work environment.  

What will you be doing?

You will be providing support to the people we support at a business worksite or at a follow-on job site which includes job coaching and supporting employment searches and selection processes. You will be directly coaching people we support as part of the job coaching plan to significantly increase job success capability so as to meet or exceed job expectations. 

The role involves supporting people we support to integrate into a job role by training them in all areas that support employability such as travel to the job site, communication with co-workers and managers, interviewing, standards of hygiene, successful workplace behaviours and managing planned absence requests.
