Covering leave, training and sickness with hours that fit in with life's other commitments; this is an ideal way of discovering if this is the career for you.

About the role
Pound Lane is a registered service providing support 24 hours a day for people living in 4 purpose built cottages with two self-contained apartments.

Experience isn’t essential but you should possess the knowledge and confidence to enable people to live a more fulfilling and independent life.  Having the right values and attitudes is more important than experience.

As a relief worker you are not an employee of Hft and remain a 'Worker' for the duration of each individual contract you undertake for Hft.

That said, you will work alongside members of the Hft team - supporting with all aspects of the daily lives of the people we support including personal care, accessing the community and helping to achieve goals.  You will be part of a vibrant, enthusiastic team supporting people to live as independently as possible with support that is personalised and individual.

This Relief role would really suit you if you like flexibility, as you are under no obligation to accept shifts offered, just as Hft are under no obligation to offer specific shifts.

What Hft can offer

As a Relief worker, you will be assured of a comprehensive Induction and full training will be given as part of the role. With Investors in People and Skills for Care accreditation we are committed to investing in our teams to ensure you have the specialist skills and expertise needed to support others to live the best life possible.

Dependent upon the number of hours you work per week, you may have the opportunity to work towards an industry recognised qualification, such as Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, that will enable you to build a career in the Health and Social Care Sector.

Join us and help us change lives.

If you do not hear from us within 4 weeks after the closing date your application has not been successful on this occasion.

Hft’s usual terms and conditions apply.

Hft is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.  As a Disability Confident Employer, Hft is helping to ensure that disabled people have the same opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations that people without disabilities do.
